Petition Action

Regulate the application of Hair Extensions in the UK

Additional Information

Due to the application of Hair Extensions being unregulated, at this present moment, any one can train to apply Hair Extensions.

This is resulting in a very high number of unskilled and under trained Hair Extensions technicians who are not qualified and insured, applying hair extensions on the general public.

This is causing high volumes of women in the UK to suffer from hair loss and painful scalp conditions.

We would like to see it mandatory that to apply hair extensions in the United Kingdom, you must be a trained qualified hairdresser who is insured and has had sufficient training via a reputable training Destablishment in the application of hair extensions. We would also like there to be a regulatory body that clients can lodge complaints to this regulatory body with regards to suffering hair loss or other scalp conditions.
