Legally require all parents on the birth certificate to authorise any piercings for all children
For all children, if they want, or ONE parent wants them, to have any piercing, then all living parents as named on the birth certificate should be legally required to authorise said piercing.
This would minimise this as a fad with both children and parents alike.
It would, importantly, stop one parent piercing a child without the other parent's consent or knowledge.
Any unauthorised piercing should hence be seen as an act of abuse.
