Reject new EU proposals on roadworthiness that would be a disaster for UK classic and modified car sectors.
Calls on Government to reject, in the strongest possible terms, the following proposed legislation:
"Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on periodic roadworthiness tests for motor vehicles and their trailers and repealing directive 2009/40/EC"
The proposal would decimate the UK classic car and modified car sectors and represents an attack on freedom of choice.
MOT and other UK based statutory car safety bodies work perfectly well. We do not want nor need this legislation.
