Controlled Assessments in Secondary Schools
Controlled Assessments in secondary schools are an unreliable form of assessment. They bring stress to students, parents and teachers, distort the pattern of the school year and are not subject to external quality control. They should be replaced by a simpler, more flexible from of assessment based on the needs of each subject.
