Identifying and removing sexual bias in education assessment
While the sexes are equal, they are also different. Males respond well to examination based assessment while Females respond better to modular coursework based assesment.
It is essential that any system to assess young people must be balanced to recognise the difference in the sexes, or they must have a weighting in favour of the disadvantaged sex where the assesment regime is deemed biased.
