I think it should be a legal requirement that all carehomes have power generators installed in case of powercuts.
having worked in a utility companies emergency companies call centre and dealt with calls from carehomes who demand the power is restored immediately as they have vulnerable people living there.
power companies are dong everything possible to restore power asap.
care homes are chatging thousands they should have power generators
