Campaign Against The Leighton Farm (Welshpool) Super Dairy
We would like the Government to stop the proposed development of a "Super Dairy" for over 1000 cows in the small village of Leighton near Welshpool, Powys, Mid Wales. Concerns and objections are based on:
- the close proximity (less than 100 yards) and thus threatened closure of the only primary school and community centre in the village;
- the detrimental effect on the health of the dairy herd and the local residents
- the visual impact/increased traffic and pollution of a dairy farm that is nine-times larger than the UK average;

You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The decision to allow or oppose the dairy is a matter for Powys council and a devolved matter in Wales. It would not be appropriate for the UK Government to intervene in such matters.
