Referendum on Proportional Representation
The referendum on electoral reform held in May 2011 was a miserable compromise and did not offer the people of Britain a real choice about how to elect their representatives.
Proportional Representation would ensure that every vote counts, by giving each political party the same percentage of seats in parliament as their votes at the ballot box.
We call on the government to hold a referendum on electoral reform, this time including the option for Proportional Representation, so that the people of Britain can make a real decision about how our politicians are elected.
