Stop "Consultant" Tax Avoidance

There is a trend in recent years for those incertain professions, particularly I.T., to set themselves up as a ltd company to minimise the tax they pay. Anecdotally I hear of people paying themselves a minimum wage salary, with a large company dividend paid at a significantly lower taxation rate then the norm.
In addition, rents etc can be paid against tax, therefore reducing tax paid further.
Personally, I find this disgusting and think it should be stopped
