Change the EU rules to allow Jam Jars to be recycled
An EU ruling means that home jam makers wanting to donate preserves to a fundraiser may no longer do so without breaking EU legislation.
Change this rule "ANY food packaging used must be compliant with the European regulation (1935/2004, Article 3) which sets out the safety criteria for food packaging. "
I do not believe that anyone who makes jam would be so stupid as to use a contaminated jam jar. These rules and regulations made in Brussels are, to me, an insult to basic common sense.
