Pay for your hospital treatment if it's self-inflicted or through alcohol, drugs, crime or stupidity.
Visit any A&E dept. up and down this country and you will find it full of people who take the NHS for granted. I don't know you - but I've always viewed the NHS as a safety net, not something that should pick up for me after my own irresponsible behaviour.
It's time for people to take responsibility for their actions.. it would certainly act as a deterrent.
Hurt yourself whilst committing a crime? - Here's your bill.
Got so drunk you needed hospitalising? - Here's your bill
Took so many illegal drugs you needed hospitalising? - Here's your bill.
We all pay national insurance for the NHS. Any self respecting insurance company wouldn't pay out for the aforementioned reasons, so why should we?
