Petition Action

No to spending on commemorating the centenary of WWI

Additional Information

At a time when the world is gripped in financial crises and the UK government are making cuts and increasing taxes, the idea of spending £50m commemorating the start of a war would be a waste of taxpayers' money.
We request that these funds are not spent in this way at such a critical time for the country's economy. Communities can and will commemorate and remember the fallen in their own way.
