Petition Action

Ban lorrys/goods vehicles from overtaking on two-lane motorways or dual carriageways e.g. M26

Additional Information

Driving in Germany you frequently see "no overtaking" for Light Goods Vehicles and Heavy Goods vehicles.

Travelling frequently on the M26 and you suffer the delays of a lorry overtaking another and it takes forever. If they are all limited to 56mph, how can they possibly proceed in a timely manner. Forcing to stay in lane 1 would allow traffic to progress in a far better way for all.

I am sure its not just the M26 - perhaps all dual carriageways should have this too
