change taxi law to oust bad drivers

Additional Information

The law governing taxis and private hire needs addressing. We would like to see the following implemented......1. Scrap the seperation of hackney and private hire and imalgamate the two into one body. 2. Introduce formal qualifications and exams for prospective drivers. 3. make prospective drivers undergo a driving assessement upon application. 4. Lower the fares to try and encourage customers to use taxis. 5. Police taxi ranks in order to dispence with defective vehicles.
