Convicted members of parliament should be removed from both houses permanently
Any member of either house convicted in a criminal court must resign their seat and not be permitted to enter the house for a minimum of ten years. Members convicted should have all honours and titles removed.
This should be written into law.
Other professions such as the police are disciplined after conviction as their integrity is called into question.
Surely the same could be said of members of both houses?
Allowing convicted peers and the like to retain titles tarnishes the whole system.
