Petition Action

Stop BBC license Fee and make them advistise instead

Additional Information

Following the recent development that the BBC ignored Jimmy Savile's behaviour and the number of cases of pedophile over the years which now seem to be extending to other BBC stars and management who seem to have been fully aware of the situation, it is sugguested that we thew public should no longer be forced to pay for a BBC license on a yearly basis.

The BBC should be made to self fund like the other channels such as ITV or Channel 4.

This would force management to run the BBC in a more professionally and legal way where mistakes such as this would mean advertisers would not paying and advertise elsewhere.

At present we are forced to pay the license fee which supports this behaviour and with the development of services such as Sky and Cable, the BBC should like them become an optional or self funded service.
