Make the BBC be run like John Lewis Partnership funded by subscription-only
Make the BBC be run like the John Lewis Partnership retail group, that is owned by the workforce, but with no option for the workforce to sell the BBC at any time.
Make the John Lewis Partnership-style workforce-owned BBC be funded by subscription-only payments to access the BBC's broadcasts.
Low-income families could then choose which services they can afford instead of foregoing them because they are forced to fund the BBC they may prefer not to have.
Those using the internet and not owning a television would then be relieved from paying the compulsory TV licence fee.
