Vote for BBC Director. Once Licence Fee, One Vote.
The BBC is one of our countries best assets but recent controversies highlight that it has lost its way.
Whilst it's important that it is kept at arm's length from the government to allow them to be kept to account, it is also unacceptable in this day in age for such a large organisation to be so self-contained and control be so remote from the public.
As such the first step in this will be that the next Director General of the BBC should be voted on by licence fee payers.
One licence fee, one vote.
It's both right we have a say and also as it would be crowd sourced, more likely to return the best person for the job.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This is a matter for the BBC and BBC Trust. They are independent of Government.
