Petition Action

Pass a Bill deporting Abu Qatada

Additional Information

Abu Qatada is an extremist terrorist who must be deported immediately.

However, under Parliamentary Sovereignty and considering the fact that the UK has an unwritten Constitution, Parliament can pass a Bill to deport Abu Qatada back to Jordan and this would be legal.

Parliament has the power to legislate in all matters and if it passes a law to deport him, it would make the deportation legal and not illegal under Human Rights law.
