Open televised debate on global crisis

I would like to suggest an open task force be set up which involves all areas of society, all religions, spiritualities, sciences, academics, etc to work with the government to help come up with a series of real and positive changes that might solve at least some of our nation and the planet's biggest issues.

Would it be possible to set something like this up on national television which deals with categorized issues relating to these global and national problems over a period of time and episodes broadcast live and with all the power of social media, to vote on possibilities over solving such issues?

While traveling through Greece at the moment and witnessing large scale protests over government actions there, it seems to me that involving the people of a nation more would not only avoid such resistance from the general public in the future, but also bring big and positive changes with much needed support to the government in solving this global and national crisis.
