Regulate or ban the breeding of rats and mice for animal food
Currently there doesn't appear to be any regulations regarding the breeding of rodents for animal (such as snake) food, as a result the equivalent of battery farms are in existence for rats and mice.
This also means that they are killed in a variety of inhumane manners, depending upon the breeder: methods of execution include freezing whilst alive, gas chambers, suffocation in plastic bags, smacking them against walls or pulling their tails to snap their spinal cords.
If this was a human food source, this behaviour would not be tolerated.
