Paint the walls of Piccadilly Gardens
We aim to bring some tradition, culture and a sense of community to the city centre by hosting an annual painting of the walls in Piccadilly Gardens that were designed by Tadao Ando in 2002.
We aim to persuade Manchester City Council with the support of this public petition to allow the walls of Piccadilly Gardens to be painted with the guidance of a democratic arts council.
We believe that the painting of the walls will provide a sense of community in the act of the annual painting, and also boost civic pride and tourism with the improved appearance of the decorated walls.
