At least 40% of sports coverage on BBC (radio and TV) should relate to womens' sports
As part of the BBC Charter renewal in 2016, the BBC should be obliged to give fair coverage to womens' sports to reflect the population which pays the licence fee.
A minimum of 40% of coverage should be required. Increased media coverage will lead to increased participation, spectator support and commercial support - a key legacy of our Olympics. A minimum of 40% of coverage should be required.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Responsibility for what is broadcast on television and radio rests with the broadcasters and the organisations which regulate broadcasting - the Office of Communications (OFCOM), the BBC Trust and the Welsh Fourth Channel Authority (S4C). They are independent of the Government.
