Make Drinkers contribute to their medical treatment

Additional Information

The government should impose a levy of 50P on each unit of alcohol, to be allocated to the NHS to help with the cost of medical treatment required because of alcohol consumption.
This levy should be applied to all supplies of alcohol, duty free on ships, air flights, and the large amounts brought in by the booze cruiser trips from France.
A minimum price per unit of alcohol will simply boost the profits of the alcohol producers or shops which sell it. These extra profits will encourage them to find other ways of encouraging larger sales.
A notice of 1 metre by 50 cm explaining why the levy is necessary , such as, cirrhosis of the liver, heart problems, unwanted pregnancies, abortions , etc. etc. Should be clearly displayed where ever alcohol is sold.
