Create laws to enforce fining of the press (Leveson recommendation)
We, the undersigned, call on the government to create the legislation recommended by the Leveson report.
The executive summary states;
"...it is essential that there should be legislation to underpin the independent self-regulatory system
and facilitate its recognition in legal processes"
Therefore we believe that not creating the legislation would make a mockery of the time and money spent by all parties in assisting with the creation of the report.
