Mandatory workshops available to educate all parents on the education system and how it works.
We would like the government to recognise that there should be a mandatory responsibility for all schools to educate parents on the education system their child enters from age 5.
We feel all parents should have the option to attend an informative workshop which educates parents on the system their child is entering.
The workshops would aim to include issues such as:
The hierarchy, various roles and responsibilities that exist in schools such as teachers, deputy and head teachers, governors and local authorities; How schools are managed and funded; How the curriculum is regulated and delivered by the school and who designed our modern curriculum; Who to go to for help and how to engage with a school regarding any issues; Rules and responsibilities that schools, local authorities and parents have to be aware of and abide by.
