Urge the DWP to Answer Freedom of Information Requests.
We the undersigned urge the Department for Work and Pensions to answer freedom of information requests about the company's & charities people are being sent to undertake mandatory unpaid work placements.
Mandatory work placements must be of "community benefit". Since February the DWP has stopped answering freedom of information requests about where people are being sent on mandatory work programmes – even when instructed to do so by the information commissioner – because it fears the MWA scheme will collapse under the weight of public protest if details are released.
What have they got to hide?
