Simplify rail fares and make them more affordable

Additional Information

Rail fares in this country are extremely confusing and often result in people paying more than they should especially with the amount of late trains and cancellations that there are. Why can there not be simple peak and off peak single and return fares for rail journeys and 1 or at most 2 types of advance single and return fares instead of the mind numbing fare system that there is at the moment.
