Stop elected police commissioners appointing their mates as deputies
Police commissioners have to be elected but it seems that deputies can simply be given jobs with salaries of £45k or more of taxpayers money without being interviewed, elected or having qualifications for the job. In some cases, they have been given the job just for helping with the police commissioner's election campaign. The government must put a stop to this "jobs for the boys" situation and ensure that taxpayers' hard earned money is spent appropriately.
