Governor General of the United Kingdom
For the Government to introduce a directly elected Governor General for the United Kingdom, elected by the UK electorate only. The UK Governor General will be given the powers of selecting new members House of Lords, the next Archbishop of Canterbury and the next Chief of the Defence Staff.
After the selection has been made the names chosen would be submited to the Monarch for appointment on advice of the Prime Minister only.
