Enshrine General Election Public Debates in Legislation

Additional Information

As part of a healthy democracy it is important that voters know what those standing for election are standing for. We call on the Government to investigate a way to enshrine in law at least one debate within the "election period" before a General Election, using a widely used network or broadcast service (Television, freely-accessible internet, etc), that invites at least one representative from all legitimate parties, deemed reasonable by an independent body, to take part in such an event.
