For Equal Student Work Rights for Bulgarian and Romanian Students in the UK

We, the undersigned, urge the British authorities to immediately cease the discriminatory treatment faced by Bulgarian and Romanian students enrolled in British higher education, as a result of UK’s policies and regulations for Bulgarian and Romanian nationals regarding their rights of access to the British labor market.

For more information on the legal grounds for our claim, please, refer to the documentation accompanying this petition.

We urge the British government and institutions to take action and levy the requirement for Bulgarian and Romanian students to apply for accession worker cards for the duration of their studies and grant this group the same working rights in the UK as the once enjoyed by all other international students, both those, who enter the UK as Tier 4 Visa holders and all other EU nationals.
