Don't name those questioned for sex offenses until charged
I would like the government to introduce a ban on the naming of anyone questioned by police for alleged sexual offences until such time they are charged.
Victims are afforded total anonymity, even on occasion when they have admitted wrongful accusation.
As soon as police question an alleged assailant, they are allowed to be named. Even if no charges are made and the investigation dropped, their lives are ruined unnecessarily.
