Create a committee staffed by members of the public to set MPs salaries and policies because MPs cannot be trusted
MPs and this Government cannot be trusted to set their pay package and set their expenses level, MPs also cannot be trusted to adhere to the mandate constituents voted for. Many MPs become involved in "pet" projects largely designed to further their own career. MP Paul Burstows attack on Pensioners is a prime example. We must have an independent committee staffed by ordinary members of the public to exert controls over these errant MPs. The committee ultimately able to decide disciplinary action including forcing by-elections to replace rogue MPs

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority is already responsible for MPs' salaries.
