Introduce compulsory 'life skills' lessons into senior school curriculums
With increasing university fees and increasing unemployment in the UK, I feel it would be extremely beneficial for the younger population to be given time during the school week to be informed on life skills which will be useful in their future. This would mean using one hour per week to teach children a variety of skills, including: managing your money; basic cooking & nutrition; buying/renting your first property; applying for jobs; basic safety & hygiene; etc.
