Petition Action

Keep Formula 1 Free to Air in the UK

Additional Information

Following the announcement of FOM (Formula One Managment) that the broadcasting of Formula One Races, Qualifying and Practice Sessions are to be handed over exclusively to SKY.

The BBC are to show 10 races, however, this limits the viewing public, to those who can afford SKY. This Monopoly on "Pay to view" sports is unacceptable.

F1 Fans understand the UK's commitment to the Olympics & 2012, but should debate the longterm future and investment in Formula 1, which promotes UK industry on a Worldwide Scale, for 9 months of the year, not just for a few weeks in 4 years.
