Petition Action

Ban all fixed odds betting terminals in bookmakers and non casino gambling establishments.

Additional Information

Fixed odds betting terminals, or FOTBs as they are commonly known as are ruining peoples lives, and have been described as the "crack cocaine" of gambling.

You can now walk in off the street to a bookmakers and stake up to £100 a minute on casino games such as roulette and blackjack.

Youngsters and long time gamblers are loosing hundreds of thousands of pounds a year to these machines, and the government seems to be doing little to combat a growing issue within our socity.

These machines do nothing but take money from the poor and vunerable members of society, and give it straight to the stakeholders of the bookmakers and the tax man.

Ban these machines now, or if not at the very least, change the maximum stake from £100 a minute, to less than £5.
