Introduce compulsory democracy and politics lessons in schools
The debate for 16 year olds to have the vote should be a simple one. Yes, 16 year olds should have the vote but not until students from secondary school age are taught about the parties, the policies and the concept of voting in general.
My team, which includes myself as a 22 year old Councillor and three 18 year old students, are campaigning to introduce compulsory Democracy and Politics lessons in schools to enable younger voters to make an informed decision on whether to vote and who to vote for.
