Additional Information

The DofE should ensure Inset days or teacher training days take place during school holidays.

It's hard enough for an average family to cover all the school holidays when both parents are working. These inset days are disruptive and hardly ever take place on a sensible day (e.g. Friday or Monday)
The cost for a family to cover these extra days will be more than 1 weeks holiday, expensive child care or unpaid leave.
