The Penny dates back to 1971 with earlier Origins back as far as 757 AD.

Let's keep the Penny as part of our History. If its abolished, then banks will introduce Currency in plastic or via Mobile devices. Who would trust the Currency then? The Pound Note went and look where we are now.
