Improvements in Home Care system towards vunerable adults

Major Changes in the Home Care system.

• Longer in-house training before an employee is sent out to work
• Hourly wage instead of pay per call
• A choice of male/female carers before care commences with a company, people should not be put on the spot in front of a carer or made to feel uncomfortable.
• Better wage for carers – It is a demanding and low paid job, that would be a more attractive and better performed position if employees were also respected.
• No employee should be sent out to work before a full pova/crb check has been completed.
