Petiton for the re-erection of the Euston Arch

Aim: For the re-erection of the Euston Arch made as a requirement for the redevelopment of Euston station when rebuilt for High Speed rail 2.

From recent coverage of the Euston arch (in February 2013) it is clear that there is huge interest in the restoration of this magnificent monument to the railways. As the Euston Arch Trust has demonstrated the restoration of the arch is possible and is economically valid. The £10 million needed for the restoration will be paid back by the facilities provided in the arch. This figure of £10 million is a tiny amount compared to the budget of £32 billion (Feb 13) for the redevelopment of the station.

We have the opportunity to reclaim this important part of our architectural heritage and to 'undo a great wrong', lets not waste this opportunity!
