hospital budgets

Additional Information

With our present economic position and in particular the present problems with the NHS ( in recent days where hospital's budgets seem to have taken precedence over care), I would like you to consider the following:
In cases where health problems are self inflicted such as being under the influence of drink or drugs and needing hospitalisation , offenders should be charged for any transport (police vehicle and/or ambulance) and especially hospital costs. When said people are receiving benefits such as housing, unemployment and even pensions, these charges should be deducted direct as in the case of court fines. Should such a person need long term treatment, then a daily/weekly charge should be implemented.
