The chairwoman of the Commons food and rural affairs committee, Anne McIntosh, has called for a temporary ban on meat imports from the EU. We the people of the UK also want these measures taken to guarantee our food, weather budget or premium meets the description on the container the product is packaged in. For too long now big businesses have been putting profit before quality, getting cheaper ingredients, without a thought to what or where the meat has come from. When BSE hit the continent, they stopped the export of British beef to protect themselves, now it’s time to ban their meat products on the grounds of we don’t know what it is without a DNA test.
