Petition Action

Ban the resale of tickets on third party websites

Additional Information

Are you fed up trying to get tickets to gigs only to find they are all sold out and then appearing on e-bay or gumtree etc at vastly inflated prices within minutes of originally going on sale?

If so then please sign my petition.

It seems simple to me that if you buy a genuine ticket and then cannot attend you should then be able to sell that ticket back to the original company you bought it from i.e. ticketmaster and receive a refund of the face value. The company then put it back up for sale at the original face value for someone else to buy. Everyone is a winner.

Also why not go a step further and print the buyers name on every ticket so they have to produce ID when they attend the gig?

Why should anyone be able to sell a face value ticket of £55 on e-bay for over £200. it is just greed pure and simple and it is so unfair to genuine fans who want to go to the gigs.
