Petition Action

Re-issue 2020 grades so that lowered grades are in line with teacher predictions

Petition Details

Withdraw all 2020 grades that are based on statistical modelling, and re-issue grades based on the professional judgements of teachers as provided in the ‘Centre Assessment Grades’.
This ensures that pupils are treated as individuals and that each individual is able to progress despite COVID-19.

Additional Information

This will ensure all students across the UK have access to the same level playing field. It will ensure fairness despite the pandemic. It is not appropriate or in order to treat students as statistics, forgetting that students are individuals. All students must be able to progress despite the prior attainment of their school or their ‘postcodes’. All lowered grades should and must re-issued. The statistical modelling used in not ethically sound during a global pandemic.
