Revoke premature approval of 250 Barratt Homes on KS6 (Penns Mount). Representations submission: 19th December 2012 therefore the decision was premature.

Development on KS6 (Penns Mount) must be rejected. The 8/7 majority approval granted to 250 affordable Barratt Homes at a Teignbridge District Council meeting on 10th December 2012 must be revoked on the grounds of prematurity. The Inspectorate has yet to approve the Plan.

Penns Mount, a circular green hill 1000m across - a well-known feature of the upper Teign Estuary, and the last significant green space in Kingsteignton W of the A380 Exeter-Torquay road.

Visible from A383, A381 at Ware Barton, A380 crossing the River Teign, the layby off Shaldon Road at Milber, the Coombe Cellars Waterside Inn and the Templer Way public footpath.

The Estuary depends on its views to retain its designation as an Area of Great Landscape Value and possibly Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
