Following the suicide of Lucy Meadows: Legislation to regulate the press
We petition the government to urgently revise the legislation that regulates freedom of the press.
The recent, and tragic, suicide of Lucy Meadows, demonstrates that, once again, current legislation does not go far enough in protecting members of the public against the bigotry and harassment of columnists such as Richard Littlejohn.
Despite the recent Leveson Inquiry, the culture, practice and ethics of the press are obviously too dubious to operate without further government legislation.
You can't sign this petition because it is now closed. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
