ANTHEM FOR A BRITISH REPUBLIC

That new words be written to the tune of The Derry/Londonderry Air and that it be adopted as the Anthem of a Federal Republic of the British Isles.

The Title of the Anthem should be “The Isles of Wonder.” This will extend the legacy that its use in the 2012 Olympic Games was intended to afford and represent the fullest expression of the ideal that Derry/Londonderry’s choice as British Capital of Culture is hoping to achieve. It will help in enabling the reconciliation that is being achieved in the North of Ireland to be extended throughout Ireland as a whole and throughout the Islands as a whole.
