Petition Action

stop council tenants being forced to pay for unused rooms whilst in receipt of income based benifits and housing benifits.

Additional Information

this petition is to stop council tenants being forced to pay for unused rooms in there home whilst in receipt of income based benifits and housing allowence or benifits.

I believe that people who have a spare room in there home after living there for several years should not be asked to pay for a room that is now not being used. by charging people who are on benifits extra for these rooms will cause hardship to people, and cause people to get in to debt which will in effect families and the elderly more.
